Laser eye surgery or contact lenses?
Hi,
I’m 21 and have known I’m short-sighted since I was around 6.
Over the years my eyesight has gradually gotten worse and worse (things become very blurry less than a foot away).
The lenses in my glasses are very thick, so I have to add thick frames (even if I got the lenses thinned they would still be very thick). Having a small nose, my glasses are heavy and slip down all the bloody time!

Does the British Military allow LASIK Eye Surgery?
I hope to join the Parachute Regiment. Hopefully to be a Sniper (as I have shown in one of my other questions) or other Combat Role. But primarily Sniper.
Let’s use the Parachute Regiment as an example. Would they allow someone who has had LASIK Eye Surgery. LASIK basically corrects being short-sighted (Myopia).
Would they allow someone who has undergone that surgery (for both eyes) join as one of their paratroopers? If they don’t, how about other branches of…

How much is eye lid (ptosis) surgery in the UK?
I am 12, and wanting to know how much surgery for ptosis is as I have a lazy eye. Basically, drooping of a eyelid, only on one eye though. I really hate this so much it makes me feel so ugly, just wondering how much surgery for this is?
