I am an older boxer who spars at least twice each week. I always wear a headgear and spar with 20 oz gloves. I have been advised that I will need to undergo cataract lens implant surgery soon. After I heal from the surgery will I be able to continue sparring? Has anyone else faced the same problem?

basically my granddads eyes are totally FUBB and has had cataract surgery already but constantly breaks his glasses or loses them. It vision has recently become so poor it is effecting his quality of life.
