Is Laser eye surgery considered as cosmetic surgery?

many insurances consider it as such. The theory arguing against it is the amount you’re going to save in glasses/contacts over the course of your live. Personally, I’ve heard enough horror stories about people not being able to drive at night and such that I’m happy with my glasses.

Depends. Some people do it because wearing glasses is inconvenient. Others might do it out of vanity, because glasses don’t suit them. In this case, yeah, I’d say it was cosmetic surgery. It’s only cosmetic if the sole purpose is to make you look better.
